When Brigit leaves the chaos of her life in Dublin she meets reclusive local farmer Hughie Dolan and finds her first hopes for a future..

‘I want to be like other people, other people who come into the caf, put down their shoppin’ and have a scone, just sit there havin’ a scone, ya know, away from all the shite…’

But the idyllic life she imagines in Meath soon unravels
